Personal Injury Attorney (Amherst, NY)
Hiller Comerford Injury & Disability Law is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Personal Injury Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling cases related to Auto Accidents, Premise Liability, Medical Malpractice, Nursing Home Abuse and Civil Rights cases. This position offers an opportunity to work on challenging cases, advocate for clients’ rights, and contribute to the success of our firm.
Responsibilities:
• Conducting legal research and case investigations.
• Assessing the viability of claims and advising clients on potential outcomes.
• Drafting legal documents including complaints, motions, and briefs.
• Representing clients in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
• Providing guidance and counsel to clients throughout the legal process.
Requirements:
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing personal injury law.
• Proven track record of successfully handling cases related to auto accidents, premise liability, medical malpractice, and nursing home abuse.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.

Hearing Attorney
Hiller Comerford Injury & Disability Law, PLLC is seeking an admitted attorney or recent graduate to join our Social Security Department. This candidate will handle all aspects of Social Security Disability claims which involve significant interaction with clients, preparing cases and representing clients at administrative hearings. Candidates must have excellent writing and communication skills. Extensive training is provided. Most of the firm’s attorneys choose to work remotely after training.
A competitive salary and a generous benefits package is offered. All levels of experience are welcome to apply. Admission to the bar is preferred, but applicants who are waiting for bar results are encouraged to apply as well.

Case Manager/Legal Assistant
This candidate must possess excellent phone skills, writing skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment. This candidate must also be reliable and highly organized. This person must have the ability to handle confidential information.
Job duties are listed below but are not limited to:
- Take/Place calls from/to current clients (status inquiries, medical updates, schedule appointments)
- Take/Place calls from/to SSA/DDS/OHO/AC offices
- Review and process all incoming mail
- E-file fee/rep and other documents for cases at OHO & AC
- Draft and prepare letters to SSA/OHO/AC
- Review new client packets and prepare a case plan
- Track deadlines
- Check and complete daily tasks in Case Management Software System
- Any additional tasks as needed to properly manage cases.
Experience in a legal setting is preferred.
Education: Associates Degree or higher required
Salary Range: $20.00-$21.00/hr
