About Hiller Comerford Injury & Disability Law

A legacy of 27 years in advocacy. Nearly 20,000 clients. We are fighting for what you’ve earned

Two years ago, a 25-year-old Buffalo law firm got a new name and a new chapter. Now Hiller Comerford Injury & Disability Law is marking its second anniversary under that name, and the numbers behind it tell a story worth knowing: nearly 20,000 active clients, 48 attorneys, 240 employees, and more than $100 million recovered for people who needed someone in their corner.

When it comes to standing up for your legal rights, there is no substitute for a legal advocate who will take a genuine interest in your case and do everything possible to make sure you get the results you legally deserve.

At Hiller Comerford Injury & Disability Law, PLLC, our attentive attorneys provide effective representation to clients pursuing Social Security disability, veterans' disability, personal injury, and medical malpractice claims.

Whether you need reliable representation for yourself or a loved one, don’t wait. We offer free, confidential consultations typically available within one business day, including same-day consultations over the phone. Our staff is standing by to assist you.

Our Story from 1999 to Today

Attorney Kenneth Hiller opened his own law firm in August 1999 as a solo practitioner after gaining extensive experience in Social Security disability law at a firm.

In 2021, Timothy Hiller and Ida Comerford acquired the practice. In June 2024, they officially rebranded it as Hiller Comerford Injury & Disability Law, a name that reflects both who leads the firm and what it does. June 2026 marks the firm's second anniversary under this new name and a proud milestone in its 27-year history of advocacy.

Though we have grown into a major firm with 48 attorneys and 240 staff members at office locations located in New York, Illinois, and Michigan, we continue to provide personal attention to each client. If you hire us to represent you, you will work directly with an attorney, not just an assistant.

"Putting our names on this firm was both an honor and a responsibility," says Timothy Hiller. "We're carrying forward the standard my father set in 1999, while expanding what we can do for people who've been hurt or denied the benefits they earned."

Why Fighting For Our Clients Is Personal

Ida Comerford, Managing Partner and Social Security Disability attorney, reflects on five years of leadership and what this milestone really means:

"Five years in, what stays with me isn't the new name on the door, but the people behind the cases. The veteran who finally got his benefits restored. The mother who was denied SSD before she found us. That's the work, and that's what this milestone means to me.”
